Why Choose Me?

So why choose me?  First, do you want to feel better?  Has someone told you you’re a hypochondriac because of THEIR frustration at not being able to help you feel better?  Have you been getting acupuncture or other therapies for years and feel better for a week or two then it comes back?  Do you feel stuck in life and know there is another way but can’t access it?  Do you have pain that gets treated and feels better, but soon becomes re-injured? Do you keep making the same “mistakes” even though you feel you are consciously making better choices?

I work on the energetic level that must be re-incorporated and whole and healthy before physical and emotional health can latch on firmly.  That is the work that I do.

I was at a campfire last night, probably one of the best ways to have inspiration about who you are in the world…and so I was inspired.

My friend asked me what I was doing that was so different from other acupuncturists.

I told him that somewhere along the line it became clear to me that most of our “illness” or feelings of “illness” are actually housed in an emotional/spiritual system that isn’t effectively treated with scripted acupuncture and Chinese herbs.

He asked for more information and I explained that the work I do isn’t specifically for people who have a random cold.  Or a person who hurts their self one time.  Traditional acupuncture is amazing for that.

What I work with are patterns.  Someone who always gets colds seasonally.  Someone who always has neck pain or back pain. Especially when they notice it gets worse with stress or emotions. People who keep running in circles and every decision they make that seems different lands them back where they started…even though they really tried to make different choices.

What I work with is that pause…that stillpoint between not feeling well, and feeling amazing.  Between not taking action and being so inspired you never even need caffeine again!

How?  He asked.

Because I focus on energetic patterns and cues.

He asked me if I still use Chinese Herbs and I told him if someone has a very classical complaint that I know Chinese Herbs rocks at balancing…YES.  But that is generally as smokescreen, just something we need to quickly treat in order to get to the real root.

But that more often than not, the concern at its real root is emotional…you would be surprised, even chronic colds and coughs many times have an emotional root.

Example:  I have a patient who I have been treating for years for other things and this year she told me about this cyclical cough/sinus infection she gets.  We did a little digging and in Fall many years ago before this began, her husband abruptly lost his job, they had to sell their house and move across the country.  When she first got to Seattle, her new home, she got this cold…and it’s returned every year.  That is emotional.  I think we may have finally fixed that one for her!

What I DO find is that Essential Oils are wildly effective when there is an emotional root.  They are these amazing little gifts from nature that are so powerful and so true.

Yes, I put those in here twice because I think they bear repeating.  And the irony that I’m talking about cycles…but if you have to point our your irony, it’s probably not that ironic, huh?
